« Mon travail artistique repose sur la recherche et la matérialisation d’idées en tant que processus créatif, conditionnées par le détachement intellectuel de l’environnement réel. En défiant mes capacités techniques et motrices limitées, je me concentre sur un thème particulier jusqu’à ce qu’il émerge quelque chose que je peux laisser mûrir, par conséquent des expériences psycho-limitrophes. Le cycle « Schattenpfade » (Sentiers dans l’Ombre) montre que des ombres nous accompagnent tout au long de notre vie et que notre ombre en accompagne d’autres, comme lumière tamisant l’euphorie et comme autoprotection. Elles ne sont pas menaçantes, mais entament un voyage à la recherche de soi-même.»

« Das Wesentliche am künstlerischen Schaffen ist für mich der Werdungs-prozess sowie die absolute Konzentration auf Findung und Materialisierung realschöpferischer Kraft und die vollständige geistige Abkoppelung von der Umwelt, um so neue Werke zu schaffen. Die Herausforderung besteht darin, die Schaffenskraft mit den beschränkten technisch-motorischen Fähigkeiten in Einklang zu bringen. Diese Selbstbeschränkung und absolute Konzentration auf ein bestimmtes Thema bis zu dessen Ausreizung bedeuten für mich psychische Grenzerfahrungen. Mit dem Zyklus „Schattenpfade“ zeige ich Lebenswege auf. Die Werke sollen bewusst machen, dass wir von Schatten begleitet werden und unser Schatten andere begleitet. Ich betrachte Schatten nicht als Bedrohung sondern als Schutz, als euphoriedämpfendes Licht, als Pfadfinder des Ichs. »
« The essence of artistic creativity lies, for me, in the processes of making and becoming, as well as in the absolute concentration on the finding and materialising of practical creative power and the complete intellectual and spiritual uncoupling from the environment in order to create new artwork. The challenge lies in harmonising the creative powers with the limited technical and motor abilities. This self-restraint and an utter concentration on a particular topic, bidding it up to strength, pose to me a psychological frontier. In my cycle of the “Shadow Paths” I show pathways of life. The works aim to raise awareness of our being accompanied by shadows and that, in turn, our shadows accompany others. I look upon shadows not merely as a threat but, rather, as a protection, as an euphoria-subduing light, a pathfinder of the self.»
